Job Summary
This position will be supporting our Adolescent to Adult Bridge program, which provides support to CHOC patients approaching adulthood that need additional assistance in transitioning into an adult health system.The position is Part Time, 20 hours per week, and does offer part time benefits.
The Patient Access Coordinator II is responsible for working collaboratively with the PAC Supervisors, PAC Manager, Clinic Managers, Physician Offices, external customers, and all other CHOC associates to maintain and improve consistent registration, scheduling, authorization, and customer service. Proactively reviews physician schedules and works queues to resolve errors, ensure efficient check in/check out processes, and ensures accurate demographic and insurance information. Participates in a leadership capacity with implementing new technologies and processes that impact the assigned areas, as well as, identify opportunities for improvement.
Pay Range
Minimum $21.55 Midpoint $28.56 Maximum $35.57Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
* Required: Minimum three (3) years of multi-specialty clinic (automated scheduling and registration systems) experience with a demonstrated tract record of success.
Education
* Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience.
Specialized Skills
* Required: Ability to related and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job.
* Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish.
Licensure
* Required: None required.
* Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS)
