The Operations & Facilities Management Department at Washington University School of Medicine is committed to delivering a comprehensive range of services to support the medical campus.We oversee maintenance and operations for 65 buildings, covering more than 11.1 million gross square feet of space. This includes the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building, which houses one of the world’s highest concentrations of neuroscientists. Our responsibilities include operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management.
Furthermore, as the School of Medicine continues to expand its presence both on and off campus in areas such as teaching, clinical care, and research, our team remains instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of clinical care, advancing research initiatives, and facilitating educational endeavors.
The Project Coordinator will have project management responsibilities within the Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) Emergency Communications Center (ECC) and oversee developing and sustaining project initiatives that enhance operational quality and effectiveness within the communications center. This position will serve as part of the WUSM Public Safety and Emergency Management team.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project/program management as assigned to include design and delivery of enhanced emergency communications plans and guidelines.
- Establish milestones and management schedules, track progress and coordinate contributions within and beyond the Emergency Communications Center.
- Evaluate and assess program/project progress, including communication officer training, professional development, needs assessment, etc. Develop tracking and initiate reports. Summarize and disseminate results.
- May participate in the grant process and/or provide oversight of budgets.
- Manage communications of program/project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
