The primary focus for this position is to support the operational efficiency of the 340B Program Management Program contracting efforts. This position will support the management of the contracting process related to all customer, and vendor contracts, as well as support the general legal needs in coordination with the West Virginia United Health System (WVUHS) Legal Department. This role involves significant autonomy, responsibility, independent judgement, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor degree in, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

OR

Associates degree, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field AND Two (2) years of experience in a professional capacity in healthcare OR One (1) year of experience,

OR

High School Diploma AND four (4) years’ experience in contract administration healthcare, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar field, Paralegal certificate from an accredited organization, or legal education.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) Years’ experience related to the preparation, organization, and review of vendor or client contracts.

2. Three (3) Years’ experience with contract administration and management utilizing a contract lifecycle management software tool or similar electronic process.

1. Set up contract files, coordinate and communicate various contract related activities with other functional departments within WVUHS and outside vendors.

2. Review and initiate periodic contract activity reporting.

3. Review and respond to cancellation/termination related requests and/or legal notices.

4. Develop, Implement, or promote resources/tools to support staff

5. Respond to inquiries from clients and other parties regarding contracts.

6. Review and facilitate in collaboration with Covered Entity CEOs in the execution of contracts

7. Identify and implement process improvements.

8. Utilize software and internet resources as needed in support of the team’s objectives.

9. Prepare contracts for submission and ensure contract compliance for all 340B HRSA program audits and all external 340B audits.

10. Process and evaluate incoming contract requests, ensuring accurate categorization and efficient assignment based on contract type.

11. Research and identify expansion opportunities for contract pharmacy arrangements.

12. Maintain and update contract templates, Pharmacy Service Agreements (PSA) and vendor contracts.

13. Conduct in-depth legal research, analyze contracts and regulations, and summarize findings.

14. Actively contributes in planning and implementing change initiatives,  focusing on improving productivity  by engaging in  staff meetings and discussions.

15. Provide training to employees regarding contract compliance. on contract management system.

16. Follow up with clients to ensure contracts are renewed or terminated on a timely basis.

18. Proofread and edit agreements, amendments and related forms and perform all necessary contract follow-up activities.

19. Facilitate and respond to questions regarding contracts.

20. Support the 340B Program Management Team in all matters and provides support to other staff within the Department as needed.
