The CrowdStrike Counter Adversary Operations (CAO) Team combines CrowdStrike Falcon® Intelligence and the CrowdStrike® Falcon OverWatch™ threat hunting team, effectively disrupting adversaries and increasing their operational costs. The integration of threat hunting and intelligence operations has proven invaluable in detecting, disrupting, and stopping modern-day adversaries. Utilizing both disciplines and trillions of telemetry events from the AI-powered CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, the CAO Team has shown significant impact in countering adversary activities. CrowdStrike's adversary knowledge, expertise in threat response, and visibility from the Falcon platform have made the CAO Team effective in breach prevention and customer protection. The team's performance continuously reinforces CrowdStrike's role in stopping breaches and safeguarding customers in today's threat landscape.
About the Role:
With significant expansion in our Counter Adversary Operations (CAO) Engineering Team, we are seeking a Software Engineering Manager. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing product feature development for CrowdStrike, from concept to release and support. As a leader, you'll mentor and manage a team of talented engineers, fostering their professional growth and creating a collaborative work environment. You'll be expected to provide guidance, remove obstacles, and support your team members in achieving their career goals. You'll work closely with product management to understand customer requirements and define delivery roadmaps. Your leadership will be important in guiding our team and product development, fully contributing to CrowdStrike's mission.
This role is open in Romania, remote or hybrid.

What You'll Do:
Help in building globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud-based critical systems that process over 1 trillion events per day
Provide leadership and growth for a team of software engineers, guiding them toward successful and timely completion of various technical product development projects
Be instrumental in the hiring, retaining, and growth of our software engineers
Work cross-functionally with your peers in the engineering organization as well as leaders in sales and product
What You'll Need:
Demonstrated track record of building a strong core engineering team and engineering team management
Proven ability to balance technical leadership with people management responsibilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences
10+ years of software engineering experience in all phases of a software development lifecycle
3+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams and collaborating with product management teams
Broad grounding in all aspects of distributed systems development - understanding of distributed systems concepts and API development
Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance
MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Bonus Points:
A solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience in the cybersecurity industry or with threat intelligence platforms
Success in mentoring team members into leadership roles
