About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a highly experienced and seasoned SDET for our IT Management Product Group as a lead test automation engineer. As a Senior SDET, you are expected to bring in a comprehensive experience in leading large-scale products. You will leverage that experience to design and implement comprehensive test automation tools and infrastructure to ensure the quality, reliability , and accuracy of our cloud-based cybersecurity and IT management systems.

About the Product:
Falcon For IT is our newest product release. It helps IT & Security teams answer the most difficult questions about their infrastructure, apps and endpoints. It can be combined with our Charlotte AI to ease usability and speed up identification and remediation of issues. The product is a cloud based solution allowing customers to query their entire endpoints fleet to address IT challenges. It works in synergy with our Sensor - a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity and apps, recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the cloud.
Success In This Role Means:
Automating test processes for speed, reproducibility, and scalability. You will build system tests, performance tests, integration tests, unit tests and more
Reviewing feature code and discerning the quality regarding functional and non-functional requirements

What You'll Do:
Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient automated testing architecture and automation
Understand end-to-end testing requirements, develop and maintain test plans for functional and system testing.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and various stakeholders to understand requirements and define effective testing strategies
Act as a technical and thought leader for quality assurance practices

Pivot the testing focus based on business priorities to align with objectives and manage expectations.
Assess the current state of quality, determine changes required in test design and development practices, bring in industry best practices and help steer the team to ensure an effective quality posture for the products
Navigate and manage ambiguity while delivering innovative solutions
What You’ll Need:
8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation
A computer science background or equivalent experience (e.g. programming styles, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, etc.)
Proven track record of designing and implementing test automation for large-scale systems and experienced in developing and enhancing test automation frameworks
Expert level proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Golang, Python and/or Java
Must have experience of testing distributed systems, web application testing and API testing
Experience with testing tools, and best practices (e.g., Robot, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG)
Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Argo, GitLab CI)
In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies: behavior, functional, performance, unit, security, contract, etc.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
Experience in working with Windows, Linux (various distros) and mac platforms
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills along with attention to details
Effective written and oral communication, be a self-starter and highly motivated
Ability to lead and mentor a team of SDETs

Experience working in the IT Automation or Cybersecurity sectors

Experience withTerraform, Ansible, Vagrant, Cloud certifications on AWS/GCP
