Job Specific Competencies

• Assist technologist in delivery of care to patients that are having a CAT scan procedure.
• Assist technologist by giving patient  proper consent form to fill out prior to procedure
• Seeks guidance from appropriate personnel when unsure of any safety or procedure issues.

• Appropriately refers problems to technologist or radiologist.
• Provides technologist with paperwork and chart if applicable.
• Assists patient on and off the CT table, utilizing proper body mechanics and patient moving devices.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient, visitor and colleague safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions.
• Verifies that all Medication Reconciliation forms are completed and signed prior to scanning into PACS.
• Demonstrates ability to use office equipment.
• Answers the telephone in a courteous and timely manner and relays messages as needed.
• Applies knowledge of safety and assures safety of patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates and understands needs of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance quality of service and customer relations
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
