Work Location - Remote, California
Summary:
The Contract Representative will review and process Medicare Supplement and Supplemental Health and Life contract applications varying complexity levels, within Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB).
This role uses multiple systems to research, analyze, and process contract applications in accordance with federal/state guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review and accurately process incoming New Business contract applications within the established time service standards.
- Prepares written correspondence.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of company product portfolio and New Business SOPs.
- Input paper/fax contract applications into the policy system as others are uploaded electronically.
- Identifies process improvements.
- Adheres to the quality audit program for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience interpreting business requirements in health care, insurance, or a similar field preferred.
- At least six months related experience, or equivalent combination of education experience
- Strong writing ability, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of state specific requirements for Medicare supplement plans
- Ability to type 10,000+ KSPH and 60+ WPM
- High school diploma or equivalent
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 19 - 29 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
