Job Summary
Pay Range
Minimum $16.41 Midpoint $21.74 Maximum $27.07Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: None required.
• Preferred: One (1) year of experience with lift devices and safe transfer. One (1) year of healthcare experience in an acute care hospital or one year as an Emergency Medical Tech (EMT). Previous experience transporting pediatric patients and their families in a hospital setting.
Education
• Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: Post High School education in health care related course.
Training
• Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required. Knowledge of medical terminology. Exhibits excellent verbal and listening skills. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards. Ability to provide care with sensitivity and respect. Ability to develop and promote positive effective customer service relations with patients, patient family members, visitors and staff, understands and exceeds customer expectations. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Effective problem solving skills. Ability to work under potentially stressful or emergent situations. Proficient in general computer usage.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Licensure
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred: Emergency Medical Tech.
Work Environments - Functional Demand:
