Trinity University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty for the Summer semester to co-teach ENTR-3190 Trinity Accelerator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities of Part-Time Faculty members include but not limited to:
Developing the course syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets departmental and University standards
Timely and accurately update the course syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets departmental and university standards. Adhere to the approved/final syllabus for the entirety of the semester.

Designing and delivering lectures, discussions, in-class activities, and assignments using the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) framework
Utilize Trinity’s Canvas platform for assignment turn-in, student communications outside of class, and grading.
Grading assigned papers, quizzes, presentations, and exams
Assigning early, midterm, and final grades in compliance with University deadlines
Maintaining office hours as directed by the department chair or program director
Making student accommodations as determined by the Office of Student Accessibility Services
Adhering to all instructional policies as published in the Faculty Handbook and the Courses of Study Bulletin
Utilize the speaker spreadsheet to share planned guest speakers to the Center Director, discussing objectives and goals for various guests. Utilize the reflection document.
Meet with the Center Director weekly. Attend department meetings throughout the year, work toward goals set by the Center, and supply requested course materials.
Demonstrate collegiality and respect for Center stakeholders.
APPOINTMENT DETAILS
Teaching at Trinity is an in-person position. The expected time commitment is 20 hours a week for roughly six of the ten-week term as this is a co-teaching role. The position may be renewed pending the ability to fulfill responsibilities, follow university policy, attend required meetings, and pending student feedback, as well as department needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required: Master's degree
Experience Required: Experience founding a venture - regardless of a current endeavor or a past endeavor with an exit.
Experience Preferred:
Five or more years of leadership experience in a small or medium-sized business environment
Experience mentoring/coaching entrepreneurs
Experience teaching in a liberal arts institution
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to deliver engaging lectures, discussions, or in-class activities

Ability to inspire and guide undergraduate students with interests in a wide range of industries
Ability to work with computer and software programs - Google Suite, email, calendar, etc.
Ability to learn new software programs required for working in higher ed. ie. learning management platforms and grading tools. Trinity utilizes Canvas.

ATTENDANCE
There is an expectation that faculty will attend all scheduled course periods, including the final exam period, for the term that is being taught. Expected to meet with the Center Director regularly. If renewed for teaching during the semester, will be expected to attend five faculty workshops a year.
