Overview:
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for timely discharge and admission of orthopedic patients. Candidate must have at least 18 mos of prior orthopedic experience. Will assist with duties such as discharge follow up phone calls, completing admission required documentation including medication reconciliation, allergy verification, assessments, and thorough review or discharge instructions including medications. This is a part-time position requiring around 28- hours a week. No weekends no holiday. 11a-8:30p. Can work any day Mon-Friday depending on the surgery cases.

This 24 bed Surgical Unit is primarily orthopedic patients but will also have other general medical patients as well. This unit is 70% orthopedic surgical patients and 30% medical patients.
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
Experience
- 18 months of relevant orthopedic nursing experience (Reguired)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$28.16 - $46.94.
