In a rapidly evolving business landscape, the Manager of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the ERM framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. This position demands a forward-thinking leader who can navigate complex risks, and is instrumental in crafting and executing a dynamic risk management strategy that aligns with the organizations strategic goals, ensuring resilience and sustainability in a fast-paced environment. In collaboration with the Senior Director of ERM, the Manager ERM will lead the execution and reporting of Enterprise Risk Management within Prime, and collaborate with various business leaders to integrate risk management into strategic decision-making processes and foster a proactive risk management culture.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust ERM framework and methodology that is adaptable to a rapidly changing risk landscape, ensuring alignment with industry standards to identify, measure, monitor, and control enterprise-wide risks.
- Partner with business leaders across various domains (Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Information Security, etc.) to integrate risk management into decision making processes, and enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to fully develop and articulate the company’s risk management framework, clarifying roles and responsibilities of the three lines of defense.
- Provide expertise in the identification and assessment of controls, development or enhancement of these controls, process improvement activities, and assessment of self-monitoring programs by management.
- Define and maintain policies and SOPs for ERM framework components (risk register, issue management, incident management, etc.)
- Provide oversight and advice on compliance with the ERM Framework.
- Manage the development, coordination, and administration of the ERM function, including setting, reviewing, and measuring risk management standards, and documenting standards, processes, and procedures.
- Build, maintain, and enhance business relations with department and business heads for the smooth implementation of risk management activities across the organization.
- Provide leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets. Coaching and leading a high-performance team.
- Prepare and present reports on risk activities to executive management, offering clear, actionable insights.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 6 years of experience including Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, and/or Internal Audit experience
- 2 year of leadership/people management experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills; ability to distill complex material into easy-to-understand presentations, effectively respond to questions, and engage a variety of audiences and executive leaders.
- Familiarity with COSO ERM, ISO 31000, and/or other Enterprise Risk Management frameworks.
- Ability to work well under stressful situations with competing deadlines and goals.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees and leaders across the organization through trust, respect, and high integrity.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to understand the big picture, business issues as well as the financials, and contribute insights.
- Ability to display a practical orientation to problems and challenges, including identifying issues and priorities independently and devising and recommending solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of work experience in prescription benefit management (PBM), healthcare, health insurance industry or highly regulated industry
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree in risk management
Physical Demands:
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to “move or traverse”
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment
- Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information
