Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a stellar team on contract basis. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools. You will work closely with software engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Your expertise in both development and testing will be crucial in creating efficient and scalable testing solutions that help identify defects early in the software development lifecycle. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent in designing/executing test cases and other 50% in playing SDET lead role.

Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaboratively define test strategies, test plans, and test cases, with a focus on test automation.

• Work closely with Software Engineers and Product teams to provide test estimates, timelines, and status updates.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, while supporting manual testing efforts.

• Execute automated scripts, perform failure analysis, and help triage, diagnose, and resolve defects. 

• Contribute to regression testing, user acceptance testing, quality reporting, and ensure compliance with QA standards. 

• Collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams, to achieve deadlines and objectives. 

• Collaborate with leadership to align testing efforts with business goals.

• Drive initiatives to improve test processes, quality metrics, and automation coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of Quality Assurance or SDET experience.

• 5+ years of leadership experience mentoring QA teams.

• API Testing experience with knowledge of HTTP, authentication, and tools like Postman or Fiddler. 

• Experience using Gherkin (BDD/TDD) with Cucumber and test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, and Xray.

• Strong knowledge of GIT or other version control systems.

• Knowledge of AWS, Kafka and other cloud infrastructures.

• Experience working in Agile environments, with capabilities in delivering test automation within sprints. 

• Strong analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams. 

• Skilled in handling risk assessments and mitigation planning. 

• Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD practices via Jenkins or other similar tools.

Hourly range $60-70/hr
