The CCB was created in 1971 with the primary purpose of protecting consumers who do business with construction contractors. The CCB ensures that, to the extent possible, contractors comply with state laws and regulations regarding contracting, construction liens, construction, licensing, employment, workers’ compensation insurance, safety, paying taxes, obtaining permits, and following building codes.
IT Systems Developers/Programmers play a crucial role in supporting the mission and objectives of the CCB in Oregon.

Key Responsibilities for this Critical Role:
- Design, develop, and implement software applications and systems.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems to ensure optimal performance and usability.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software applications.

- Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Information Systems Specialist 5 (ISS5)
Four (4) years of information systems experience in: designs, codes, tests, researches and recommends tools, coding structures, platforms, plug-ins, etc. needed for a given project.
OR
An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND
Two (2) years of information systems experience in: designs, codes, tests, researches and recommends tools, coding structures, platforms, plug-ins, etc. needed for a given project.
OR
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.
Requested Skills/Desired Attributes: Information Systems Specialist 5 (ISS5)
- This role is required to communicate effectively with other IT staff as well as end-users.
- This role works collaboratively in a team setting. Good team player skills are required - including the willingness to collaborate, share information and contribute to the team's success as necessary.
- The role also requires excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers and the ability to demonstrate initiative and independent judgment on an on-going basis.
- This role requires the ability to make valid judgments quickly and take appropriate action.
- Experience with an integrated development environment such as Visual Studio (2010+) is desirable as is experience with a source control system such as MS Team Foundation Server.
- This role requires the ability to program in a variety of programming languages in a client/server environment and interface with common database servers.

Working Conditions:
Work is done in an office under conditions of moderate to high noise levels. This is a production setting with frequent and conflicting deadlines and interruptions. Occasional night and weekend work may be required.
Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. (alternative work schedules are subject to approval by management).
This position may be suitable for hybrid remote work once the incumbent has gained the proficiency to work independently. These positions will rotate into the office to provide customer support or as a backup for the in-office coverage.
