The Opportunity
The primary function of Medical Science Liaison, R&D, is to be the scientific subject matter expert in pediatric nutritionJOB IS FROM: partimejobs.netVIEW and present live (virtual and in-person) nutrition science education programs to internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Major Responsibilities:
- Serves as a scientific resource to commercial partners as appropriate to support activities such as medical/nutrition congress staffing, advisory boards, and training initiatives.
- Builds and manages relationships with external key opinion leaders (KOLs) aligned to business needs and manages the KOL engagement plan.
- Prepares the marketplace in new areas of interest, which includes creating awareness and building relationships for Abbott in the medical community.
- Inputs and maintains internal reports as it relates to activities in the area of responsibility.
- Works with internal stakeholder to develop and execute a plan designed to support and meet shared business objectives.
- Supports the medical and commercial team with any other ad hoc activities that are required by the business.
- Serves as a medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers through answering clinical questions and addressing other clinically related medical information issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING
Required
- RD required with MS or PhD in human nutrition.
Preferred
- Minimum 3 years clinical practice; experience in academia/industry/post-doc preferred.
- Background in NICU or pediatric hospital nutrition preferred.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills required, experience in teaching preferred.
- Addition traits of candidates to include: Self-motivated, collaborative team member, strong interpersonal skills, time management skills.

Travel: 50% (post Covid restrictions)
Location: This position is a remote role.

The base pay for this position is
$95,000.00 – $190,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
