Trinity University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty for the Spring 2025 semester to teach INTL-1305 Ethics in International Engagement and Development course.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but are not limited to:
Designing and delivering lectures, discussions, in-class activities, and assignments
Grading assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
APPOINTMENT DETAILS
This position will be a one-semester appointment beginning in January of 2025, with the possibility of renewal.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Required: PhD or ABD by January 2025
EXPERIENCE
Required: Background in International Studies or a related field
Preferred: Teaching experience at the university level
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Mastery of the relevant subject matter
Ability to deliver engaging lectures, discussions, or in-class activities
Ability to design rigorous and meaningful assignments
Commitment to the liberal arts mission of Trinity University
Ability to teach concepts such as power, privilege, and prejudice from colonial history to the present day
