Primary Purpose & Function: Providing a broad range of administrative and human resources responsibilities that include operational support to all Prep employees while at the same time acting as a liaison between Fairfield Prep and the Human Resources Department at Fairfield University.
Role & Responsibilities:
Recruitment
View Orignal JOB on: partimejobs.netSupport Fairfield Prep managers in creating job descriptions Ensure all job descriptions are updated by coordinating manager creation, review and updates Facilitate position approval and opening of job requisitions (in coordination with Fairfield University) Coordinate interview screening Facilitate candidate selection and offer approval process Generate offer letters
Onboarding
Work closely with Fairfield University Onboarding Coordinator to ensure that new hires are fully onboarded prior to start date Conduct new hire orientations Provide systems support (e.g. Workday) to new hires
Payroll Administration
Ensure all one-time payments and period activity pays are entered into the Workday System timely. Process volunteers and submit in Workday student and temporary hires including coaches In conjunction with CFO and University HR, monitor and curate benchmark salary and benefit information from other Jesuit, independent and public schools, and competitors Prepare recommended annual salary increases and insures all employee salaries are up to date on the Workday system. Coordinate annual agreement process
HR Compliance and Policy Administration
Maintain and update all employee policies and handbooks in consultation with Management, University’s Human Resource Department and Legal Counsel Maintain and manage all compliance records and processes for on-going employment (e.g. Fingerprinting including Public Act 16-67, DCF Forms, VIRTUS safe environment training, sexual harassment prevention, criminal background checks, etc.) Assist in identifying and documenting areas of risk management with Senior Management and the Director of Operations to minimize exposure and loss. Manage insurance policy renewals (excluding health & welfare)
Other HR Related Activities
Support Senior Management and coordinate with University HR regarding the annual performance review process; track faculty and staff compliance Coordinate employee training programs in conjunction with Senior Management and Fairfield University Audit data to ensure employee records and reporting structures are up-to-date in Workday (org charts are accurate) Review all personnel and benefit information on the school’s employee portal to ensure the accuracy of the current content
HR Liaison with Fairfield University:
Act as Liaison to the Fairfield University’s HR Department regarding:
Job hiring process from job posting through onboarding employee on Workday, I9 verification and criminal background checks.
