This is a part time 12 hour night shift position in our EDTC with an every 3rd weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. Full time orientation will be required for 4-5 months depending on experience. Must be comfortable committing long term to working night shift

Could also consider weekend program for candidate interested in working EVERY Sat/Sun.

We are not considering new grads for this part time position.

Strongly prefer pediatric ER or Critical care RN experience.

Will consider candidates with 2 or more years adult hospital RN experience who seek career growth and clinical challenge.

Responsibilities include being a partner in the care management team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care and delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Candidates must show proof of license on or before first day of employment.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
PALS certification required within first 90 days. Knowledge of the principles of neonatal, pediatric and adolescent growth and development and child/family responses to fear, illness, injury and hospitalization.
