Job Summary:

In your pivotal role as Interprofessional Education Program Manager for the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA), you will oversee the planning, development, and execution of the MVA’s Inter-institutional, Interprofessional Education Faculty Collaborative and Student Project. You will collaborate closely with the two faculty co-directors from Meharry Medical College (MMC) and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), as well as additional faculty, students, and community organizations, to coordinate inter-institutional and community engagement activities. You will need to be available for eight evening events across the Fall and Spring semesters, held on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM CT. This role calls for a resourceful individual to manage activities, foster effective communication, and drive collaborative efforts across various education and training programs, and you will also manage the Meharry-Vanderbilt Student Alliance (MVSA), which serves as a central resource for graduate students from Meharry Medical College, Vanderbilt University, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. This role emphasizes collaborative leadership and supports students' academic and professional development through structured programming and partnerships. You should be a resourceful individual to manage activities, foster effective communication, and drive collaborative efforts across various education and training programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) is required; a
Master’s degree is highly desirable
• 3-5 years of program management experience, or at least 1 year of
relevant experience with a Master’s degree
• Prior experience in the healthcare sector is preferred
• Experience working in higher education and/or academia is a plus

NOTE: This position will offer considerable work-from-home opportunities, but you should be available to come into the office a minimum of 3 days a week to participate in meetings and other local events,.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Interprofessional Education (IPE) Program)

  • Lead the creation, coordination, and execution of program initiatives. 

  • Manage program budget and resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility. 

  • Provide training and guidance to individuals supporting the program. 

  • Foster program growth and expansion by identifying and implementing new initiatives and partnerships. 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the MVA's strategic mission and goals. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVSA) Program)

  • Oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of MVSA initiatives and programs. 

  • Provide budgetary oversight and ensure effective use of resources to meet program objectives. 

  • Provide training and guidance to individuals supporting the program as well as students engaged in MVSA activities. 

  • Promote program expansion and deepen student engagement by establishing and nurturing partnerships within the university and community. 

  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned, contributing to the MVA's broader objectives of supporting student success and fostering inter-institutional collaboration.
