Review of electromagnetic waves at radio and microwave frequencies. Electrical and magnetic properties of tissue. Impact of electromagnetic waves on tissue. Cellular effects. This course is equivalent to BIOM 5330 at Carleton University.
Course Component: Lecture
Prerequisite: knowledge of electromagnetic theory.
Expert knowledge of the course subject matter, demonstrated by relevant publications or experience. The applicant must have significant experience mentoring technical people with advanced degrees to success in their careers, and must be able to provide students with experiences that build up their technical skills, their soft skills (communication, teamwork, project management) and their professional networks. Applicants must have a doctorate relevant to electrical engineering and worked professionally in their field after their doctorate.
