This is a part time 12 hour night shift with every 3rd weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. Must be comfortable committing long term to working night shift. Due to size of unit and team, 6+ years to get to days.
Could also consider part time nights Weekend Program working EVERY Sat Sun.
Orientation for any hire is full time for at least 4 months and could be on any shift or day of the week based on preceptor assignments. If previous Children's NICU nurse, orientation may be shorter
Will only consider candidates with at least 1 year NICU RN, or L&D or pediatric critical care experience for part time.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit- Center 7 and West 8
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 76-bed unit designed for the individualized care of critically ill newborns and their families from admission to discharge. These infants are admitted from a diverse geographical area for specialized medical and/ or surgical needs. These infants and families are cared for by a unique blend of interdisciplinary caregivers: neonatal nurses, neonatal nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, human milk technicians, physicians, OT/PT and speech therapists, respiratory care practitioners, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians and internal case managers.
Responsibilities include being a partner in the care management team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care and delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Candidates must show proof of license on or before first day of employment.
NRP certification within 1 year of employment.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
