The purpose of the Data Curator role is to assist the engineering team in the development of models by organizing and refining data so that it meets certain pre-defined standards and can be used in later steps within the development process, e.g. for use in training or testing models or other purposes.

The Data Curator will be responsible for reviewing MR images, and the associated CT images and scan properties provided, for the purpose of delineating structures of interest for MR-guided radiation therapy. Duties include reviewing existing contours for accuracy, revising existing contours, and contouring de novo on MR images.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and communicates with the Manager, Dose Calculation to ensure timely completion of the teams’ engineering deliverables.

• Accesses Elekta systems in a compliant manner

• Reviews and understands technical contouring guidelines for a variety of anatomic regions

• Processes and evaluates incoming datasets and transfers them to appropriate workspaces

• Reviews and corrects contouring data sets, including generating new contours or rejecting data sets if necessary

What you bring 

•  Current student or background in Radiation Therapy (or similar)

• Excellent command of English and/or French, both written and spoken 

• A team player with good communication skills

• Experience with common clinical Radiation Oncology planning and imaging software, ProKnow experience an asset

• Good problem-solving capabilities

• Detail oriented

• Self motivated, able to work independently

• Experience with anatomic contouring within the radiotherapy context
