The School of Public Health and Information Science is seeking candidates for a temporary, part-time lecturer (PTL) to teach course(s) for Spring 2025.
PHPB 300-01: Social and Behavioral Foundations
Description: This course aims to answer the question: What determines the health of a population? This course is designed around the common public health analogy of a tree, which allows for asking consecutive “why” questions in the search for the root causes of an issue and to determine the most effective points of intervention. Class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from January 8 to April 23, 2025.
PHPB 301-50: Health Equity
This course provides an overview of social, economic, and political inequities in the United States and their impact on the health of the poor, uninsured, elderly, minoritized racial/ethnic groups, migrants, gender and sexually diverse groups, rural residents, people with mental and physical disabilities, and other vulnerable and marginalized JOB IS FROM: partimejobs.netVIEWpopulations. Desired Qualifications:
Master's, at least 18 graduate hours in public health, at least one semester of classroom teaching experience and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include skill in providing quality instruction and support to a diverse student body and ability to use different learning technologies to enhance student learning.
