Administrative Program Coordinator IV – Scholars Program

The Brentwood Foundation Community Physician Scholars Program is an integral and innovative component of Cleveland Clinic’s medical education efforts. It reflects a collaboration between Cleveland Clinic and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (Heritage College, Cleveland) aimed at providing favorable opportunities and enriched learning experiences for medical students who have experienced socioeconomic, educational or other disadvantages. The program represents the strong commitment of both organizations to embrace and encourage diversity among the providers caring for the diverse population of our communities, while also ensuring they provide care of the highest quality. From mentor experiences to community service to professional enrichment, the program ensures that participants will gain exceptional knowledge that can be derived only from experiential learning. 

 

A caregiver in this position works 9:00am – 1:00pm.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Function as a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource.  

  • Assist the Director with projects and daily tasks.  

  • Coordinate policy evaluation and implementation.  

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.

  • Lead or coordinate multiple complex projects, major initiatives or policy implementations. 

  • Update, monitor and manage databases. 

  • Develop scorecards and milestones to track progress.  

  • Analyze project improvement and progress. 

  • Report discrepancies and variances. 

  • Act as a liaison with committees, caregivers and vendors.  

  • Facilitate project prioritization and implementation.  

  • Assist with the scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings. 

  • Attend meetings and record key outcomes. 

  • Identify key milestones and deadlines.  

  • Communicate project status and requirements to achieve results.  

  • Research, analyze and organize information for presentations.  

  • Develop interdepartmental education programs and assist with developing department orientation and training.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, communications, healthcare administration or a related field.  

  • Five years of administrative, financial or project management experience. Additional progressively responsible experience may substitute the education requirement.  

  • May require a license based on department/institute needs.  

  • Strong computer skills and experience with software applications.  

  • Skills/qualities: multitasking, critical thinking, decisive judgment, independent, interactive, communication and customer service 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Healthcare experience.  

  • Knowledge of project management practices.  

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

Physical Requirements:

  • High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and frequent standing.
  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
