SUMMARY
The Laboratory Coverage Courier, executes courier route assignments maintaining specimen integrity in conjunction with NYS Health Department Regulations. Couriers must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, promoting superior customer service and relations. By providing a flexible availability throughout the week and a wealth of route knowledge, our Coverage Couriers play a vital role in excellent and reliable patient and client services.

LOCATION: Riedman Campus & Elmgrove Park
DEPARTMENT: Logistics
SCHEDULE: Schedule will vary
ATTRIBUTES
- Five (5) years of driving experience, with a valid driver’s license required
- Friendly, kind and customer service oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily Assignments. Execute each courier route with efficiency, ensure the integrity of each delivery; access, navigate and send correspondence using designated computer
- Customer Service. Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, promote superior customer service and customer relations; use sound judgment to problem solve if client issues arise; understand and respect patient confidentiality
- Documentation. Report equipment condition and notify coordinator of maintenance requirements

NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
