Job Description
Responsibilities:
Monitor IT ticket queues and provide user support and solutions.
Monitor Slack channels and provide support and solutions.

Plan, execute, and support server operating system patching, software upgrades, and software releases.
Run environment scans and fix software and firmware vulnerabilities as needed.
Plan and support server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Participate in our on-call rotation in support of our production platforms and work with the team to perform off-hours maintenance activities as scheduled.
Requirements:
4 or more years of experience in a production IT operations environment in a systems administrator role with Rocky linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Experience with AWS and managing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a cloud infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
Experience with Fortigate or Palo Alto firewalls.
Familiarity with SaltStack.
Familiarity with MySQL.
Familiarity with Apache and Tomcat.
Ability to work independently or within a true collaborative project.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Must reside in the United States.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
AWS Certifications a plus
Network certifications a plus
Target Base Salary Range: $72,700 USD - $145,400 USD

Basic Requirements

OR 6+ years of production IT operations environment in a systems administrator role
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
