Southeastern Louisiana University's Honors Program invites applications for the position of Part-Time Academic Advisor. This position provides group and one-on-one academic advising to Honors students, helping them to understand program requirements, select appropriate courses, develop academic plans; and teaches SE 1017: Freshman Academic Success (Honors) to assigned students.The Part-Time Academic Advisor contributes to and participates in orientation programs, providing outreach to prospective undergraduate students and their parents during orientation, recruiting events, campus visits, and on an individual basis. Manages course delivery via Canvas, Google Suite, Workday, and other technological platforms as needed
This position works 17 hours per week.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited university
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Teaching
- Academic Advising
- Counseling
- Working with college students in a professional role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Business Administration
Data Processing and Analysis
Technical Writing
