 * This position is funded at 100% for 3 years, then 50% for one year *

POSITION PURPOSE

Develops, manages, monitors, and improves large projects, change facilitation, or process improvement initiatives inclusive of risk & issues log.  Works with stakeholders, management, leadership, multi-functional and geographically dispersed work teams across all ministries and system office functions.  Provides solid, experienced and insightful project and program management to any/all project phases. Provides leadership, oversight, coordination and support for research related activities, including work on a PCORI-funded clinical research trial named COMPASS-PC. Liaises closely with external researchers and the Trinity Health Chief Medical Officer, Director of Clinical Transformation, and the EVP, Chief Clinical and Community Division Operations Officer, to operationalize the COMPASS-PC research trial across ministries. Serves as a resource for those participating in research within Trinity Health and will work in partnership with internal and external personnel to advance research opportunities that could benefit the organization. Proposes standards and guidelines to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and good clinical and ethical practices.  Serves as lead project resource/manager for regional staff, working one-on-one with identified participants to facilitate project success, while ensuring timely completion of deliverables in accordance with established protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, business administration or a related field and a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of product line or technology solution experience, formal or informal people leadership or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum five (5) year’s experience managing complex projects and interfacing with executive leadership.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to perform research, apply perspective and diligence to completely understand the relevant project issues.

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve quality results. Must be capable of handling multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and possess the ability to adapt to frequent changes in priorities.

Experience managing projects that involve large, complex datasets, electronic health records and learning management systems

Excellent facilitation skills and ability to influence outcomes by working with colleagues at all organizational levels. Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer services skills. Ability to develop/maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with leaders, stakeholders and decision makers. Ability to mentor and coach other team members.

Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Strong group (both onsite and remote) process skills required. Must be comfortable operating in an ambiguous and matrix organizational structure. Ability to operate in a highly autonomous self-directed manner under frequently changing structures, requirements and priorities.

Ability to obtain and maintain strong understanding about how the organization functions.  Ability to recognize the impact of individual and team performance. 

Project Management Certification (PMP) and/or Lean practitioner (or equivalent) and/or Six Sigma green belt strongly preferred.

Proficient knowledge in four or more (4+) business operations disciplines and supported business processes, with expert level knowledge in at least two (2) disciplines. Business operations disciplines include, but are not limited to, project/program management, financial management, contract performance management, process improvement, people leadership, workflow integration, technical and business communications, research/benchmarking, statistical analysis, change leadership and healthcare administration.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook), Visio, and MS-Project. 

Ability to communicate with non-technical leaders and business owners providing a clear understanding of appropriate technology solutions to support and enhance business needs.

Knowledge of multiple technologies and experience with system-wide applications and systems in an integrated work environment.

Considerable knowledge of and experience in developing and managing project budgets and staffing needs for complex initiatives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and be able to balance the needs and expectations of system office and RHMs.  Work hours may be long and irregular.

Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the phone with people in a number of different locations on key issues.  Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communication.

Must be able to speak and communicate clearly and effectively.

The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same time and adapt to interruptions.

The incumbent must be capable of traveling in the course of completing project and training assignments. 

Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently.

Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites as needed (between 10% - 20% of the time).

Pay Range- $103,589 - $170,922
