Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates in the creation and maintenance of strategic plans and activities to generate interest in and to build a class that meets the objectives of the Gateway Curriculum. Assists in identifying market trends and supports recruitment and admission strategies, collaborates with the WashU Medicine Marketing & Communications team on marketing projects and creative initiatives. Assists the team in creating communications to prospective and admitted students and executing quarterly updates on web, video, and other marketing materials in order to ensure accurate and consistent data is being presented and disseminated appropriately to improve recruitment yield.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to build and maintain effective pipeline programs. Maintains effective communication with all prospective students through the management of the prospect module within the Admissions database. Tracks communication to and manages outreach activities with prospective students, monitoring applicant progress through the application process.
  • Coordinates with the Office of Diversity Programs on recruitment. Primary roles to include: assists teams in messaging and communication, creates email templates, assists with admission tracking, assists with creating a follow-up plan to nurture connections made during events and tracks applicants through the admissions cycle.
  • Develops presentations for virtual, on and off campus marketing purposes and ensures that program presentations are up-to-date with correct information, updated faculty, admission liaison, and alumni profiles when applicable. Collaborates with MD Admissions team on recruiting event planning and places information related to such events on the web when appropriate. Participates in on and off campus admission and recruitment events for prospective students as needed. Develops expertise in the evaluation and use of emerging outreach tools.
  • Reports on prospective applicants, including quality control checks to ensure proper follow up with prospects for all events, monthly updates on how prospects are progressing through the cycle and notification to MD Admissions leadership of any meaningful trends.
  • Collaborates with the MD Admissions team on end-of-cycle prospect record clean up, program audits, final program data, and withdrawal and orientation surveys.

Salary Range

$17.87 - $27.06 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
